Authorities have released the name of the man whose small plane crashed near the Mahomen Airport Tuesday night. Two MN-DOT employees pulled 56-year-old Mark Habedank to safety. MN-DOT’s Erik Fitzgerald says he heard the pilot yelling for help and the plane was leaking fuel. He says, “You see car crashes and all that throughout your life, but never, ever think about seeing a plane go down type of thing. So I was kind of just in shock, or disbelief is what was in my mind.” Habedank was reported in serious but stable condition at a Fargo hospital. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
