Planned Parenthood MN, ND, SD CEO Sarah Stoesz
Planned Parenthood says a bill being debated in a Minnesota House committee Tuesday would prevent patients from using government family planning grants at Planned Parenthood clinics.
The group’s Sarah Stoesz says those funding sources have never been used for abortion. “What they’re hoping to do is to deny women access to Planned Parenthood even for their family planning, and in so doing to weaken Planned Parenthood so that we stop providing abortion too,” Stoesz told MNN.
Bill sponsor, Stillwater Republican Kathy Lohmer could not be reached for comment.
