A police chase that began in Maplewood, Minnesota this morning ended in Wisconsin after a suspected impaired driver’s vehicle wound up in a Hudson river. The pursuit began at around 2 am when an officer
attempted to pull over a driver for an equipment violation and speeding. The suspect then took off on I-94 toward Wisconsin at speeds higher than 100 miles per hour. Eventually, the suspect drove to a boat launch in Hudson and the vehicle began to roll into the river.
Officers were able to save the driver, a 35-year-old Blaine woman, and she was arrested on felony-level operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
