(Moorhead, MN) — The president of the Minnesota High School Golf Coaches Association Eric Tollefson of Moorhead says they are hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst when it comes to the fate of the season. Tollefson says while golf may lend itself more to social distancing and smaller crowds most than other spring sports, he realizes that may not be enough to save the season, either. He and his team are hopeful they might get to play later in the spring or early in the summer. Tollefson is the boys’ golf coach and a teach at Moorhead and says his players and his students are distance learning and have welcomed the structure it provides during this time to stay at home. He says this is an adjustment for everyone and everyone is doing their best to maintain a positive attitude. Tollefson says they are keeping their fingers crossed that they get some sort of a high school golf season, even if its a short one that could include the postseason.
