Carol Falkowski with Drug Abuse Dialogues says more doctors need training on how to identify prescription drug addiction. She says opioid painkillers “are really what get people started off on the road to addiction.” Falkowski says doctors should have information on alternatives to help patients manage long-term chronic pain.
