Prince’s former band, the Revolution, is reuniting to perform two shows at First Avenue as tribute to the late Minnesota music icon.

The Minneapolis club announced the shows today. The group backed Prince in the 80s and was featured in both the Purple Rain film and album.

In a statement, the band says “as we all start to heal and fill forever the emptiness with sound…2gether we are the Revolution.” The shows are set for September 2nd and 3rd and tickets go on sale Friday.

Prince died of an accidental fentanyl overdose at his Paisley Park studio on April 21st.
