“End Violence Against Black Bodies” read a protester’s sign Thursday at the scene of a north Minneapolis crash where a van driver crashed into a bus shelter, injuring six people. The Star Tribune reports demonstrators are demanding charges be filed against 83-year-old George Jensen of Champlin, who is white. The injured men are black. Civil rights attorney Nekima Levy Armstrong says the truth must prevail and Jensen should be “held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.” A Metro Transit spokesman said police hope to present findings next week to the county attorney’s office, which will decide whether charges are filed.
