The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office today announced that criminal charges are not warranted in a fatal officer-involved shooting from October 2017. County Attorney John Choi says the use of force by St. Paul police officers Jordan Wild and Daniel Gleason that resulted in the death of 28-year-old Phumee Lee was legally justified under Minnesota law. Lee had been accused of attacking his girlfriend and firing a gun in the couple’s home while their five children were present. Officers arrived at the home and say Lee shot at them before he was shot and killed. The officers were not hit.
