Player Notes
•Julius Randle led the Timberwolves tonight with a game-high 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting, and seven rebounds, marking his 35th 15+ point/5+ rebound game of the season (501st career), the second-most such games in the NBA this year.
•Donte DiVincenzo finished with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including a 5-of-9 performance from deep, four rebounds, a season-high-tying and game-high eight assists and a career-best and game-high-tying three blocks, marking his ninth 15+ point/5+ assist game of the season (26th career). Tonight marks his second game with 15+ points, 5+ assists and multiple blocks this year (third career).
•After tonight’s 5-of-9 shooting record from three, DiVincenzo has now made four or more three-pointers in four consecutive matchups against the Golden State Warriors, which is tied for his longest streak against any single opponent (Utah Jazz – four games, San Antonio Spurs – four games).
•Rudy Gobert closed tonight’s game with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, a game-high 17 rebounds and two blocks, marking his 21st double-double of the season (497th career) and his eighth 15+ rebound performance this season, which is tied for the most such games in the NBA. This showing also marks Gobert’s seventh 10+ point/15+ rebound game of the season (203rd career), the second-most in the NBA.
•With 7:44 minutes remaining in the second quarter, Gobert grabbed his seventh rebound of the game, bringing his season total to 500. He now leads the NBA with 510 total boards this year and has now racked up at least 500 rebounds in 11 consecutive seasons, the second-longest active streak in the NBA (Nikola Vucevic – 13).
•In 24:44 minutes off the bench, Bones Hyland recorded 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 3-of-4 from deep, a season-high seven rebounds, five assists and a season-high-tying two steals, marking his first 15+ point/5+ rebound/5+ assist game of the season (seventh career) and his first time doing so since April 12, 2024 as a member of the LA Clippers against the Utah Jazz. Additionally, tonight marks Hyland’s first showing this season with 15+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists and multiple steals (fourth career, MR: April 12, 2024).
•Naz Reid ended the night with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc, seven rebounds, and three steals in 25:10 minutes of action off the bench, marking his second 15+ point/5+ rebound/3+ steal game of the season (seventh career). Reid is the NBA’s only reserve player to record multiple such games this season.
Team Notes
•The Timberwolves held the Warriors to 83 points tonight, their fewest points allowed this season, marking just the seventh time an NBA team has scored 85 points or less this year. This is the Wolves’ lowest opponent point total since holding the Clippers to 80 points on Dec. 4, 2024.
•Minnesota’s reserves outscored Golden State’s bench 44-27 tonight. The Wolves now move to 16-3 (7-1 at home) when the bench scores 35+ points.
•With 15+ point/5+ rebound/2+ steal showings from Reid (15 points, seven rebounds, three steals) and Hyland (17 points, seven rebounds, two steals), tonight marks the first time in franchise history that multiple reserve players have recorded qualifying games in the same outing. Additionally, this is just the second such game in the NBA this year (Memphis Grizzlies’ Jock Landale and Santi Aldama, Dec. 7, 2025).
•Minnesota allowed Golden State to hit only nine three-pointers tonight. The Wolves are now 7-2 when they hold opponents to ten or less made threes.
•The Timberwolves ended the contest with 12 steals and 10 blocks. This marks Minnesota’s fourth game recording 10+ steals and 10+ blocks in the same game this year, tied for the most in the NBA.
