(Roseville, MN) — The State Lottery expects brisk sales as tomorrow’s (Sat) Powerball drawing approaches with an estimated 700-million-dollar jackpot, the largest in U-S history. Lottery officials say before Wednesday’s drawing — which didn’t produce a winner of the 528-million-dollar jackpot — Minnesota ticket sales peaked at over eight thousand dollars a minute, and they expect higher volume before Saturday’s 9 p-m cutoff. The Lottery says it’s making every effort to ensure that all 31-hundred retailers across Minnesota are prepared with extra ticket stock.
