Republican Representative Sarah Anderson of Plymouth says she’s not surprised after Tuesday’s announcement that the security company hired to protect U-S Bank Stadium has been fired. Anderson says problems at the stadium started with Governor Dayton’s appointees to the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA), which “basically gave Minnesota a lemon when it comes to the whole stadium authority and how it has been managed. This has been scandal after scandal that has been happening ever since construction began on this building.” Anderson is calling for further oversight of the MSFA. The Chicago-based Monterrey Security Company was terminated after an investigation found the company failed to properly license its workers. The Vikings are scheduled to play the Lions at U-S Bank on Sunday–and the Super Bowl is scheduled to be played there in February.
