Rep Drazkowski calls for investigation of voter fraud after Project Veritas video goes viral

September 28, 2020 By Scott Peterson

Republican Representative Steve Drazkowski of Mazeppa is calling on federal and state leaders to investigate what he calls “massive, systemic voter fraud” in Minnesota. That’s in response to a new video from the group Project Veritas that alleges to show proof of ballot fraud in Minneapolis during August’s primary. Drazkowski says “the integrity of our elections here in Minnesota and across the country are fundamental to the integrity and future of our republic.”

Minnesota DFL Party Chair Ken Martin calls Project Veritas “a discredited, far-right propaganda outfit known for lying, entrapment, and breaking the law.”

Drazkowski is also calling on the state legislature to convene emergency committee hearings to address voter security for the November 3rd election.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman says his office has received no information or cases involving so-called ballot harvesting in any elections held in Hennepin County this year.

In a statement, Freeman says “the Minnesota legislature has designated local police departments as the agency responsible for investigating those types of allegations. They would then send the completed investigation to the county attorney’s office for possible charges. The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office takes those cases very seriously and after every even-year election, we usually file a dozen or so cases involving some type of election violations, primarily felons voting despite still being on probation. If Project Veritas has evidence of election law violations, they should provide it to the Minneapolis Police Department.”
