(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings will officially have their new head coach by the end of the week. E-S-P-N’s Adam Schefter reports that the team is expected to sign Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell to become the team’s next head coach on Thursday. O’Connell beat out Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh among others, but the Vikings were unable to officially hire him until after the Super Bowl. O’Connell is expected to bring Rams passing game coordinator Wes Phillips and running backs coach Thomas Brown with him to join the Vikings staff.
