Repubs blast Klobuchar ahead of likely presidential announcement

Republicans have their political ammunition ready for Senator Amy Klobuchar to announce tomorrow whether she’ll run for president. State G-O-P Chair Jennifer Carnahan says among already-announced Democrats, “Senator Klobuchar falls to the bottom. She might be popular in Minnesota, but I don’t think that popularity translates nationally.” Carahan says she’d be surprised if Klobuchar lasts much past the Super Tuesday primaries in March of 2020.

But former Vice President Walter Mondale says Klobuchar should do well in Iowa and then can “spread her wings and… help all of us get some strong new leadership in the White House.”
