Republican U-S Senate candidate Jason Lewis says he’ll return “what appears to be fundraising mail intended for Governor Tim Walz” that the Postal Service mis-delivered to the Lewis campaign’s P-O Box. Lewis says it adds to concern over Democrats’ repeated call for mail-in voting.
Meanwhile, D-F-L Attorney General Keith Ellison is suing the Postal Service over what he says are “drastic operational changes” that could undermine the November election. Ellison contends President Trump is trying to “fix” the election. “It’s not the first time. I mean, he doesn’t trust letting the process play out freely and fairly,” Ellison says.
The president warns widespread voting by mail will lead to abuses. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy said Tuesday to avoid even the appearance of any impact on election mail, he is suspending some long-term operational changes until after the election.
