Minnesota Republicans’ division over Donald Trump bubbled up at the state party convention in Duluth Friday afternoon. The central committee rejected a resolution that would have allowed party faithful to “focus efforts on races of their choosing.” Delegate Walter Hudson from Wright County argued, “If we want to hold our party together,… we have to allow disagreements regarding Donald Trump to co-exist alongside our joint work on behalf of other candidates.” But delegate Jim Foley from Waseca County, who opposes the measure, drew applause saying “We got a candidate. We got a chance to win the White House. Let’s kinda get together and let’s do it.”
