It is the second time in two months a rock musician has died right before a concert date in Minnesota. A founding member of Jefferson Airplane, Paul Kantner, was scheduled to play tonight at the Medina Entertainment Center. But Kantner, who was 74, passed away after a heart attack in San Francisco last night. The group’s spokesperson says tonight’s show will likely go on, not with Jefferson Starship, but with opening band Blue Oyster Cult. It was early in December that Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots was found dead before a concert in Bloomington.
