(Minneapolis, MN) — The University of Minnesota is hosting one of the premier cross country meets in the nation this weekend at the Les Bolstad Golf Course on campus. More than three-thousand runners will take part in the 34th annual Roy Griak Invitational, featuring eight separate races. The event welcomes large university teams from across the country; and small college and high school teams from the Midwest. The men’s university division kicks off the event at 9:30 A-M on Saturday, followed by the women’s university division at 10:20 A-M. The women’s and men’s small college races follow that at 11:10 A-M and 12:10 P-M, respectively. Four boy’s and girl’s high school races then wrap up the festivities from 1:10 P-M through 3:40 P-M.
