The Salvation Army is serving thousands of hot meals to needy Minnesotans this Thanksgiving Day. Envoy Bev Mayfield in International Falls says, “Everyone’s joyful. They’re enjoying a good Thanksgiving meal.” Mayfield says turnout is up this year: They’ve served over 200, plus 280 meals delivered. In St. Cloud, Salvation Army officials report about the same number of people as last year with over a hundred meals served. Rochester reports turnout approaching 200 — about average for a Thanksgiving Day.
