Sanders supporters continue to protest in Philly

As Democratic National Convention delegates arrived in Philadelphia Sunday, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz agreed to step down from her post as party chair after an email leak revealed what Bernie Sanders supporters had claimed throughout his campaign–the DNC tried to sabotage the senator’s chances.

Police are out in force amid heavy protests in Philly.  A large crowd of frustrated Bernie Sanders’ supporters stages a peaceful march and rally yesterday, with chants of “We won’t vote for Hillary.”  More demonstrations are planned again today despite the sweltering heat.

U.S. Senator Al Franken says he called Sanders last night:

Today’s theme at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia is “United Together.”
