Player Notes
• Julius Randle led the Timberwolves in scoring in Game 5, finishing with a team-high 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-6 from deep and five rebounds, his 11th 20+ point game of the 2025 NBA playoffs (17th career) and ninth 20+ point/5+ rebound game of this year’s playoffs (15th career). Randle’s 11 20+ points games in the 2025 playoffs rank tied for third in the NBA.
• Anthony Edwards ended tonight’s Game 5 against the Thunder with 19 points on 7-of-18 shooting and six rebounds. Edwards has now scored at least 15 points in all 42 playoff games in which he’s appeared, the fourth-longest streak to begin a career in NBA history. The top three on that list are Michael Jordan (179), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (97) and Karl Malone (47).

• Edwards connected on four free throws tonight, giving him 208 career free throws, passing Kevin Garnett (207) for most in Timberwolves playoff history.
• Terrence Shannon Jr. added 11 points in 15:45 minutes of action off the bench, his second 10+ point game of the 2025 playoffs. Shannon Jr. joins Stephon Marbury (three) as the only Wolves rookies with multiple 10+ point playoff games.
• The starting lineup of Rudy Gobert, Randle, Jaden McDaniels, Edwards and Mike Conley) made their 15th playoff start together tonight, tying the most starts by a single starting unit in a single playoffs in franchise history (15 by Sam Cassell, Garnett, Trenton Hassell, Ervin Johnson, Latrell Sprewell).
