Early voting in Minnesota continues to be on the rise. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says “this is the best week yet, so far. The bottom line is this–if you look at the comparable date four years ago–2014 the last mid-term or non-presidential election, we are now 209% above where we were then in terms of absentee ballots requested.” And Simon says the state is 221% above where we were on the same day four years ago when it comes to ballots that were actually turned in and accepted. As of this morning, more than 223,000 absentee ballots have been requested throughout the state. And more than 85,000 ballots have been accepted by election officials.
