Section of Hwy 68 in south-central Minnesota following late-June mudslides

July 28, 2020 By Bill Werner

MN-DOT is re-opening a section of Highway 68 (from Highway 15 to just west of Blue Earth County Road 45) south of Courtland in south-central Minnesota which had been closed since late June due to mudslides. Crews have made temporary repairs at two spots, but officials say additional work is necessary and will result in another closure of that stretch of Highway 68 in the near future.

Meanwhile, Highway 93 south of Henderson to Highway 169 remains closed until further notice because of flooding on the Rush River. Officials expect it will be a number of days before that section can be re-opened because repairs will be needed after floodwaters recede.
