Senator Al Franken returns to work today, amid several allegations of groping. On Sunday, Franken spoke to several Minnesota media outlets for the first time since accusations of groping were leveled against him a little more than a week ago. Franken acknowledged that he’s embarrassed and ashamed and that he’s “let a lot of people down.” Franken says he hopes he can make it up to his constituents and he hopes that he can regain their trust. The senator says he does not intend to resign and he says he will cooperate with a Senate ethics investigation into his behavior. Here is MNN’s Scott Peterson talking with Senator Franken on the Senator’s first day back to work.
