Today marks the 14th anniversary of the death of Senator Paul Wellstone, his wife Sheila, their daughter Marcia and four others in a plane crash near Eveleth.

Senator Al Franken says it was a devastating day for Minnesotans and he’s remembering his friend Paul today. Franken says Wellstone was “a champion of the little guy and he is sorely, sorely missed.”

Franken, who holds the seat Wellstone held,  says he’s honored to carry Wellstone’s legacy forward.
