A nationwide investigation is underway after pipe bomb devices were sent to several prominent Democrats and CNN’s newsroom. U-S Senator Amy Klobuchar says it’s “completely not acceptable in America to have people threatened with actual explosive devices no matter what political party they belong to or which side of the aisle they are.” Klobuchar, who is the ranking member of the Senate rules committee says “we are on high alert there in the Senate and looking at having a lot of the packages examined–as it is they go through a whole process.” The devices were mailed to CNN headquarters in New York, former President Obama, Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, Florida Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and California Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters. At the White House today, President Trump called the actions “despicable.”
