President Trump is set to announce his highly-anticipated decision on the Paris climate change agreement this afternoon at the White House. Reports say Trump is leaning toward pulling out of the deal. U-S Senator Amy Klobuchar says that would be a mistake. She says Minnesota “has been way in the forefront we’re one of the top states for wind, we’re one of the top states for energy efficiency, we’ve done a lot with bio-fuel and so our economy, it’s been very important to us the innovations we’ve seen in energy.” Klobuchar says leaving the agreement could not only have a negative economic impact on Minnesota and the country, she adds “when we pull out of an agreement that the rest of the world is a part of, it also hurts us with national security and our credibility.” Klobuchar says the U-S needs to be a leader, and to pull out of the agreement, which was signed by nearly every nation in 2015, “doesn’t make sense.”
