U-S Senator Amy Klobuchar joins President Joe Biden along with other dignitaries in paying tribute Sunday to former Vice President Walter Mondale. Klobuchar says, “Walter Mondale stood for democracy and good government and civility and dignity and decency and politics his entire life.” Klobuchar remembers Mondale as a mentor and cherished friend who gave her her first job in politics. And when Mondale and President Jimmy Carter lost the ’80 election to Ronald Reagan, Klobuchar took note that Mondale said, “we told the truth, we obeyed the law, we kept the peace.” Klobuchar says, “I don’t know what more can be said about a man…that really says it all about Walter Mondale.” Mondale died last April at age 93.
