Sen Klobuchar suspending campaign, endorsing Biden

Amy Klobuchar’s campaign is confirming that the Senator is flying to Dallas to join Vice President Biden at his rally tonight where she will suspend her campaign and endorse the Vice President. Carleton College political science analyst Steven Schier says there are likely a number of reasons for Klobuchar’s decision, including “she becomes a possible running mate for Joe Biden, by providing him with an endorsement at the crucial time in the campaign.” And Schier says she “avoids potential embarrassment in her home state by possibly losing to Berner Sanders in the Klobuchar becomes the third moderate candidate this week to drop out of the Democratic race, following Tom Steyer and former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg.  Klobuchar’s announcement comes a day before 14 states–including Minnesota–hold primaries on Super Tuesday.
