Minnesota Democratic Senator Tina Smith said on the Senate floor today that she’ll vote tomorrow to remove President Trump from office. Smith responded to those who say, let the American people decide in the next election only months away: “When the President has solicited foreign nations to influence our elections with disinformation, and has prevented the American people from hearing a full and fair accounting of that effort, our duty to defend the Constitution requires that we act now.”
Republicans say the offenses Democrats allege that the president committed are not impeachable. It’s expect the Republican-controlled Senate will vote to acquit Trump.
