Senate GOP leader says Dayton bonding proposal too large

MN. Senate Minority Leader David Hann

Minnesota Senate Republican Leader David Hann says “Governor Dayton’s historically large borrowing proposal should be cut in half before we even begin talking about statewide priorities and specific projects.” Dayton fires back his proposal would fund 37 percent of all bonding requests statewide — while Hann would fund less than 20 percent.  The governor says Hann “should look at the whole roster of… requests from all over Minnesota, and tell over 80 percent of them that they’re not gonna get funding.”  But Dayton did acknowledge earlier that the legislature might not approve funding for all the projects in his bonding bill.
