A Minnesota Senate staff member has filed a formal complaint against state Senator Dan Schoen, alleging he sent her a sexually-explicit SnapChat picture in 2015 when Schoen was a state representative. Ellen Anderson — who’s a staffer and *not* the former state senator — says she knew Schoen’s message “crossed the line, but at the time, I assumed it was a one-time error in judgment. The disturbing news of the past week makes it clear that was not the case.” Schoen’s attorney says his client did not send that kind of message to the complaintant or any other woman. Senate Democratic Minority Leader Tom Bakk says he is renewing his call for Schoen to resign from the Senate and apologize and will determine what actions his caucus can take to protect staff members.
