Senator Klobuchar pushes for bipartisan reforms to tackle opioid crisis

Senator Amy Klobuchar is in St. Paul today to talk about ways to combat opioid prescription and drug abuse.

Klobuchar authored legislation recently signed into law that encourages states to pursue proven strategies in the fight against addiction. She’ll be joined today by law enforcement, healthcare officials and families impacted by drug abuse.

Klobuchar is touting a new law requiring doctors to use prescription drug monitoring programs before prescribing painkillers.
