A convicted sex-trafficker has received the longest prison sentence for that crime in Minnesota history.
A Ramsey County judge today sentenced 35-year-old Rashad Ivy of St. Paul to 58 years in prison. In February, a jury found Ivy guilty of heading up a trafficking ring in the Twin Cities in 2014 and 2015 that involved multiple victims.
The previous record-setting sentence for sex-trafficking in Minnesota was 40 years.
