The experts are saying tick season could be a rough one this year after an unseasonably warm winter. Dave Nietzel with the state Health Department says if you’re outdoors and know you’ve been bitten…
“You know getting that tick off as soon as possible can prevent disease transmission. And then just watching very carefully for any signs or symptoms of tick born disease. So an expanding rash around the site where the tick bit you is one thing to look for. Also any fever, headache, muscle and joint ache, fatigue.”
Nietzel says if you do experience those symptoms, you should have a doctor check it out.
