Should Minnesota’s teachers get higher priority for COVID vaccinations, now that the governor’s order could put some of them back in elementary school classrooms on January 18th? Governor Tim Walz was non-committal on that question Wednesday saying, “They [teachers] *are* very, very far up the list. We think we’re gonna be prioritizing testing, all of the safety around that, and then of course they will fall into the queue and be vaccinated just as quickly as we can. We’re very dependent, of course, on the federal government.”
Walz indicates teachers would likely be next in line for the COVID vaccine after health care personnel and nursing home residents.
