Swimming pools and bowling alleys can re-open in Minnesota at reduced capacity, and some youth and adult sports can resume if social distancing is maintained — that under Governor Tim Walz’s relaxed COVID-19 restrictions that take effect tomorrow (Wed). State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says, “We’re very hopeful that, if the COVID-19 health measures continue to improve, we expect to be able to resume games and competitions for medium-risk sports by the end of June.” Malcolm says risk depends on how close people are, whether there’s contact, whether they share equipment and other factors.
