The son of a city councilwoman in the central Minnesota community of Big Lake is charged with killing his mother. 20-year-old Eric Jordahl faces two counts of second-degree murder in the death of 62-year-old Rose Johnson and bail is set at one million dollars. Jordahl’s father called 9-1-1 and police arrived to find the defendant covered with blood. He told police he punched his mother repeatedly, stabbed her multiple times and bit her. Jordahl’s first court appearance is August 11th.
