(Hastings, MN) — A Dakota County jury today (WED) found a 59-year-old South St. Paul man guilty in a woman’s August 2015 stabbing death.
Thomas Luby was accused of killing 45-year-old Kelly Anderson at his home. Officials say Luby called 9-1-1 hours after the incident and told the dispatcher Anderson was dead “because I killed her.” Luby later admitted he and Anderson had been drinking and got in an argument. Luby claimed the stabbing was in self-defense and denied placing a knife in Anderson’s hand before officers arrived. Sentencing is set for May 2nd.
