A Saint Paul woman accused of murdering her one-month-child has her first court appearance this afternoon (Fri). Prosecutors says 22-year-old Shwe Htoo fed poisoned formula to the baby and when that didn’t work, smothered him to death and then tried to kill herself by driving a car into a light pole in a park. According to the criminal complaint, she told investigators she also consumed some of the poisoned formula, which included sleeping pills and a pesticide used to kill bedbugs.
