Minnesota’s income tax filing season has officially opened, and state Revenue Commissioner Cynthia Bauerly says electronic filing and direct deposit is the fastest, easiest and safest way to get your refund. Bauerly says last year over two million Minnesota taxpayers used electronic software to file their taxes, and four out of five Minnesotans used direct deposit. Visit the state Revenue Department’s website to see a list of tax software providers who are certified to electronically file returns with the state. The tax filing deadline is Monday, April 18th.
