State introduces new Great Outdoors online tool (AUDIO)

June 12, 2018 By Scott Peterson

Just in time for summer, state officials are announcing a new online tool that allows visitors who love the great outdoors in Minnesota to better plan their trips to more than 700 spots, including state parks and trails.  State I-T Commissioner Johanna Clyborne says “it’s going to consolidate all the geospatial information that exists in dozens and hundreds of places and aggregate it into a single website that makes it easier for Minnesotans to find the outdoor option that might be right behind their back door or their favorite destination.” The Great Outdoors site is live as of this morning and can be accessed here.
