State health officials continue urging Minnesotans to wear masks to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Epidemiologist, Doctor Ruth Lynfield says, “If you’re gonna be near someone who’s not from your household, particularly in a confined space, that is the appropriate thing to do — along with all the other measures.” Those include social distancing of at least six feet, washing hands, covering your cough and staying home if you’re ill.
There’s speculation that Governor Tim Walz could issue an executive order this week mandating masks statewide in at least some public places. It’s prompted by a resurgence in COVID-19 cases in other parts of the country.
