State Senator Jeremy Miller said today he’s *not* running for U-S House in Minnesota’s First Congressional District. The third-term Republican from Winona says it means a great deal to be looked on as a potential candidate for Congress, but the Minnesota Legislature recently completed an “historically productive session” and Miller says “the momentum is far too strong to consider a run for Congress at this time.” Former state Senator Vicki Jensen from Owatonna became the first Democrat to officially enter the First District race yesterday. Incumbent Tim Walz is running for governor instead. His Republican challenger in the last two elections, Jim Hagedorn, is running again in 2018.
