State officials have temporarily closed a family day care in the north-central Minnesota community of Baxter after the death of a three-month-old girl. Brooklyn Tramm died about a week ago at the facility operated by Kimberly and Jerry Opay and state officials received a complaint that the provider didn’t follow requirements to reduce risk of sudden infant deaths. Officials are not giving further details because an investigation is pending. It’s the second death this year at a licensed Minnesota child care facility.
