State troopers send best wishes to parents after assisting with roadside birth

State troopers who helped deliver a baby Monday morning along Interstate 94 in north Minneapolis are sending best wishes to the proud parents of Griffon Elizabeth Schindler. Trooper Garrett Klein says about the child being born on the Fourth of July: “Special times in more than one way, I guess…. I’m just glad that everyone was alright there and, I guess, congratulations.”  Klein admits he was “a little nervous” in a situation that before this he didn’t want to encounter, but says “now that it’s happened, I guess it’s a magnificent experience.”
