Sun County Airlines is apologizing to customers for not notifying them about six flight cancellations last weekend. The Minnesota-based carrier blames a missed software step in the overhaul of its computer system. The company says the flight cancellations were triggered by a series of unrelated problems in Newark, Las Vegas and Washington D-C. Passengers were given the option of either a refund or a seat on the next available flight. Sun County says will also reimburse hotel costs and give each affected passenger a 200-dollar voucher toward future air travel.
