A suspect in a domestic assault involving a knife in Genola in central Minnesota is being treated for serious injuries, after being hit by a bean bag round fired by a Morrison County Sheriff’s deputy. The suspect fled in a vehicle Wednesday afternoon before officers arrived, but was located later when the vehicle got stuck in a field. The deputy fired the bean bag round after a brief standoff. No officers were injured and the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating.
