Second-degree murder and other charges have been filed against a man who remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous after a crime spree Saturday in the southeast Twin Cities suburb of Mendota Heights. Investigators say 44-year-old Lucifer Nguyen robbed a woman and her grandchild at gunpoint, eluded police during a high-speed chase, then broke into a senior care facility, forced an employee into a laundry room and took her work keys. Police say as the facility was being evacuated, police found a woman in an adjacent office building dead of a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities say Nguyen then stole 48-year-old Beverly Cory’s vehicle and was seen later in the Stillwater area.
