Taconite man charged with criminal vehicular operation in ATV crash

June 28, 2016 By Tasha Redel

A 33-year-old Taconite man is charged with criminal vehicular operation in an ATV crash that left a woman with life-threatening injuries. Officials say Dustin Sipe had been drinking and was driving the ATV at around 2:30 am Sunday morning when his passenger, Tammy Jo Manning, fell out of the vehicle and began bleeding from the head. Sipe later admitted to officers that he’d been drinking for several hours when the accident occurred. Manning remains in a Duluth hospital.
